This tutorial walks you through the process of adding HTML code to Weebly. To do that, we’re going to use the The Embed Code element. That element allows you to add a variety of external content to your Weebly website. One can add HTML, Javascript, CSS or any other type of code supported by Weebly environment.
Add Custom HTML to your Weebly Website
This Embed Code element can be found under Basic section of the Build tab. Drag the element to a page to get started.
Once element placed, and that you have copied the embed HTML code to add, click inside the Embed Code element and select Edit Custom HTML. Then simply paste the code in place.
When you click outside of the element, the content should show up on the page.

I did exactly this and embedded the code at the top of each page I want to track. I keep getting this error when I use the Google Tag assistant chrome extension.
No HTTP response detected?
Code found outside of tag
I don’t know where else to put this?
Hi David, thanks for stopping by, adding anything analytics-related has a different method. Here we have an article for that: https://weeblytutorials.com/add-google-analytics-in-weebly-website/
Is the button available for all Weebly users, or is it enabled for specific accounts/subscriptions?
I have followed the steps, and while it used to work before, the function doesn’t seem to respond at all. I insert the code, click outside, and…nothing. What might be going wrong?
